Janet Davis & The Velvet Living Room formed in 2005 as a musical venture among five friends with diverse musical experiences and backgrounds. Accomplished vocalist Davis is joined in the Dallas-based band by husband Wyatt Davis on guitar, Mark McKenzie on saxophones, Raylan Loggins on bass and Jon Hock on drums.

In the group's wide-ranging repertoire, time-honored standards from the Great American Songbook mix with well-chosen and often unexpected covers from the worlds of contemporary pop and rock. Instrumental selections find the band exploring the compositions of the jazz greats.
